"My focus at this time is on my kids and healing the pain. There will be no further comment."Why make the comment in the first place? Now you don't want to talk about it? Either someone was in need of attention, and by attention I mean attaching one's situation to the many celebrities going through this same situation (i.e. Tiger Woods and Jesse James), or someone realizes that it wasn't the best idea to throw personal business out there for media consumption. That said, I hope that Garcelle is able to make it through this, shielding their children from the stupidity of their father. I just think that this was a bad move.

Know your role! The 'Ho' never gets an apology!
I never gave the Tiger Woods debacle much, if any, attention. It was simple to me; he cheated on his wife with a harem of women and he was about to cost him a whole lot. However, after reading this article, I cannot hold my tongue regarding the foolishness that is now occurring. After last week's public apology, someone else wants an apology. One of the mistresses, Veronica Siwik-Daniels, feels that she is deserving of a personal apology. WTH?! Has she forgotten that she, like several others, played a part in this adulterous mess? She has an attorney and everything! For what reason, I have no idea. She and her attorney responded to Tiger's public apology; Siwik-Daniels' attorney, Gloria Allred, said "He [Tiger] led her to believe she was the only woman in his life other than his wife..." Say what?!Are you serious Ms. Allred?! Your client, Veronica Siwik-Daniles, was A MISTRESS! She is in no position to demand any kind of an apology! Are times rough for Allred? So rough she has to take on every frivolous case she can in order to make ends meet? I seriously doubt it; she looks like a media hog, right along with her client.
Siwik-Daniels says she "had to deal with a lot and too much from him and because of him...It never had to come to this. He knows that I was very straight and honest with him, but for a long time he lied to me." Um...no little mistress, you dealt with a lot because you chose to do so. And you were dealing with a man who was lying to his wife, so you were dealing with a liar. And you what? Expected him to be honest with you? Someone smack her forehead and tell her she should have drank a V8 because she is a idiot.
The fact that this is being fed into speaks volumes regarding the moral issues this country has! The only, and I repeat ONLY, person who deserve an apology are Tiger's family. This means that each and every woman who played a part in the adultery should apologize to his wife and his children! They deserve none of the media attention they are getting and they definitely do not deserve an apology from Tiger! I could be wrong, but I really do not believe I am.

Seriously? Seriously NASA?
Why must we, human beings, blow things up? Cause destruction? In the name of science? Apparently destroying Earth is no longer enough; now scientists are "bombing" the Moon! "Why?" you ask.Well, our planet is in dire need of water, so....oh? What? We aren't in need of water? Well, NASA will crash a spacecraft into the moon tomorrow morning (10/9). According to this article (click here to read), they are interested in water ice that may be in the moon craters. This has to be one of the stupidest waste of resources! Not to mention causing an explosion on the moon just seems wrong, dangerous even. While I worry about the future of my people, I also worry about the future of all human beings...some things need to be left alone.

Sonia...You got some 'splainin to do...WTH?
You know what? I'm not surprised in the least by the stereotypical, racially tainted response given by Senator Tom Coburn. Quite often republicans have made, especially in the past year, these ignorant "jokes." She, Sotomayor, of course handled it all in a lighthearted manner and, if for nothing else, she gets my respect for that. I just shake my head at the Republican party...I mean really, WTH?

People use 9-1-1 for any and everything...
Watch this CNN clip:
What I find funny about this is not the fact that the man called the police about the food order being messed up, but the fact that the man said the employee was laughing at his brother-in-law's broken english...did you hear the employee speak? She has no right to laugh at anyone...

The O.G. (Original Goonette)
Okay, I'm sure that most of you have seen, or at least heard about, Plies and his so-called reality show called "Goonette". If you haven't, I'll give you a brief synopsis. According to Plies, a goonette is a strong, independant woman. She takes care of business and has overcome everything thrown at her...like Beyonce and them, a goonette is a survivor! Well, anyway, the goonette selected for this reality show is a single mother. She's a woman who handles her business and makes sure that her children are provided for. In order to do this, she strips for a living. No big deal there, I suppose. But what makes this show so sad, aside from the title "Goonette", is that this woman is a midget. So for the most part, the woman will be made fun of, taken as some sort of joke. While the TLC channel has a show that focuses on the life of two midgets, "Little People, Big World", we get "Goonette". Suffice it to say, I will not watch this, if it is actually picked up by a network. In fact, I will definitely be one of the one to protest it, if only for it's sheer stupidity. As much as I hate to, here is the clip for "Goonette"...
I say all that to say this, there was a "Goonette" before today. Back in the 60's, the cartoon Popeye had a character named Alice the Goon. When I told my mom about Plies and his foolishness, she brought up this cartoon character she remembered from her childhood. So I thought I would share this with others, you know, just to make you laugh in case you didn't laugh at Plies and "Goonette". If you have never seen this before, let me introduce you to Alice the Goon...
What do you think about this "Goonette" foolishness?

WHY???!!!!

Why, after having giving birth to six children, would this mystery woman continue to have children? I simply do not understand these women who have 10, 15, 18+ children...isn't that some kind of abuse? How can these people truly take care of all these children without any detriment to the other children in the household? It seems like that extra mouth to feed takes away from the others...I really do not understand this current woman who just gave birth to octuplets. It seems senseless because this was not a natural occurrence, meaning she was going through fertility treatments in order to give birth to more children. This just seems wrong...

Another WTF moment...

Okay, I shouldn't even give this topic any attention, but I need to get this out of my system...I turned to Shade 45 radio yesterday afternoon and caught part of a conversation between the show host and a caller. Apparently Rude Jude (the host) does not trust politicians (of course this includes Obama). I can't fault him for not trusting politicians...that's his personal trust issue to deal with. I do, however, find fault with what some callers were saying about Obama being the first African-American president. One caller, a black man, said that he was tired of hearing Obama being called the first African-American president. According to this caller, Obama doesn't know or understand the "black experience" in America because he (Obama) isn't African-American. This guy said that Obama's ancestors weren't slaves, so how could he understand the struggle? I'm summarizing here, but that's the gist of what the caller was saying. The host agreed with the caller. I do not. The way I see it, if Barack Obama walked down the street and encountered a racist cop, for example, he would be seen as a black man. There would be no distinction made between whether or not his ancestors were apart of the struggle. Also, how do we know that his ancestors were not slaves? So his father was African and his mother was white...that doesn't mean that slaves are no where in his paternal or maternal ancestry.I'm willing to listen to dissenting opinions because they make people think and sometimes broaden minds. I know everyone can't agree on everything, nor should they. I think that yesterday was such a positive, optimistic day and it upset me that people were focused on something as small as this. Am I wrong in my thinking?
